This has to be the best use of 99 cents I’ve ever seen.

Four days to manufacture a limited edition, laser engraved gift box, along with a postcard, a sticker and a mini poster – not to mention the gourmet chocolate of your favorite space invader.  $25.

This sled is made from double-stitched PVC-coated polyester, and uses a combination of polystyrene “beans” and air to give you the softest ride down the hill. All you need to do is hop on the bag, grab the straps and take off. That’s after you pay the $300 price.

The other side note is Grand Central Terminal is now live with free wifi courtesy of the Apple Store. A huge boon for NYC tourists and commuters.

As you can see in the exterior shots the video wall has been removed and the store once again is shrouded in black curtains. The curtains by the sides of the grand staircase will be placeholders for Apple logos and the main archway will also house an Apple logo as seen by the reveal pictures.

Why can’t more restaurants have these?

I never thought the merger between AT&T and T-Mobile would ever happen but I though the ending would have been in dozens of lawsuits, government antitrust hearings and shareholder revolts.

But shockingly, today, AT&T and T-Mobile have withdrawn their request from the FCC to merge.

AT&T Inc. and Deutsche Telekom AG are continuing to pursue the sale of Deutsche Telekom’s U.S. wireless assets to AT&T and are taking this step to facilitate the consideration of all options at the FCC and to focus their continuing efforts on obtaining antitrust clearance for the transaction from the Department of Justice, either through the litigation pending before the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, Case No. 1:11-cv-01560 (ESH) or alternate means. As soon as practical, AT&T Inc. and Deutsche Telekom AG intend to seek the necessary FCC approval.

I’m sure the $4 Billion will be welcome news and a good shot in the arm for T-Mobile as they enter into a new way to seek strategic alternatives to a merger.

Well worth the price, Instacast by far is my favorite podcast app and now available for the iPad.

This is the high definition version of the famous podcast client, Instacast. More screen, more video, more show notes, better browsing, push notifications and iCloud syncing.

Well, a day late but the Apple Store Grand Central’s facade has been revealed.  As previously speculated  here, it is a video wall that resembles a flip board style display – fitting of a train station.

Also, note in the left hand corner of the balcony.  There is a film crew recording the passers by in the train station who stop to look at the Apple Store.  I think they are creating a time lapse video similar to what they did when the Fifth Avenue Apple Store opened.

UPDATE: As you can hear in the video there is still major construction going on inside the store and the displays are either Apple Cinema or Thunderbolt Displays.

Storage is handled via SD or Micro SD cards, of which two are included (4GB each).

Lion even notifies you of version conflicts and allows you to resolve them when you open the document.

This could be a game changer.  Just make sure you have enough of the Wi-Fi’s.

Ok, so here is my beef with Android.  When a person who buys a cellphone walks into a carrier and asks for an Android phone – there is no uniform expectation.  Little do they know that every manufacturer has a different skin making the whole experience different, and even more so do they know there are diffferent versions of the OS and its VERY likely you will NEVER see an upgrade.

It’s an OS with great potential but the carriers and device manufacturers is Android worst enemy!

At least with iOS, Windows Phone 7, and WebOS (RIP) there is a uniform experience between models creation less confusion for the user.
