This sled is made from double-stitched PVC-coated polyester, and uses a combination of polystyrene “beans” and air to give you the softest ride down the hill. All you need to do is hop on the bag, grab the straps and take off. That’s after you pay the $300 price.
Apple Store Revealed
Well that was surprising. Today Apple took the wraps off their Grand Central Apple store.
Seemingly giving journalists an early sneak peek.
The other side note is Grand Central Terminal is now live with free wifi courtesy of the Apple Store. A huge boon for NYC tourists and commuters.

Interior of the Grand Central Apple Store Revealed and Construction Barrier Down
Opening this Friday at 10am seems like Apple has a little bit to do before the launch.
As you can see in the exterior shots the video wall has been removed and the store once again is shrouded in black curtains. The curtains by the sides of the grand staircase will be placeholders for Apple logos and the main archway will also house an Apple logo as seen by the reveal pictures.

The Mythical Dip and Squirt Ketchup
For those who know me know, at least in the blogger sense, I’m obsessed with trying to find the mythical Heinz Dip and Squirt ketchup packet.
Well, the search is over. I found my holy grail of silly blogging trinkets (and had a good burger too – not to mention Garlic Rosemary fries!)
Why can’t more restaurants have these?
AT&T Gives on Buying T-Mobile. Prepares for a $4 Billion Loss
I never thought the merger between AT&T and T-Mobile would ever happen but I though the ending would have been in dozens of lawsuits, government antitrust hearings and shareholder revolts.
But shockingly, today, AT&T and T-Mobile have withdrawn their request from the FCC to merge.
AT&T Inc. and Deutsche Telekom AG are continuing to pursue the sale of Deutsche Telekom’s U.S. wireless assets to AT&T and are taking this step to facilitate the consideration of all options at the FCC and to focus their continuing efforts on obtaining antitrust clearance for the transaction from the Department of Justice, either through the litigation pending before the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, Case No. 1:11-cv-01560 (ESH) or alternate means. As soon as practical, AT&T Inc. and Deutsche Telekom AG intend to seek the necessary FCC approval.
I’m sure the $4 Billion will be welcome news and a good shot in the arm for T-Mobile as they enter into a new way to seek strategic alternatives to a merger.
Wow.

Apple Store Grand Central Revealed

Apple Store Grand Central Reveal
This movie requires Adobe Flash for playback.
Well, a day late but the Apple Store Grand Central’s facade has been revealed. As previously speculated here, it is a video wall that resembles a flip board style display – fitting of a train station.
Also, note in the left hand corner of the balcony. There is a film crew recording the passers by in the train station who stop to look at the Apple Store. I think they are creating a time lapse video similar to what they did when the Fifth Avenue Apple Store opened.
UPDATE: As you can hear in the video there is still major construction going on inside the store and the displays are either Apple Cinema or Thunderbolt Displays.
My Rearview Mirror is a DVR!
Everything is displayed on a 4.3 inch, 480 by 272 resolution screen and the internals are powered by a Centrality Atlas 4 Dual-Core 500 MHz processor and 64MB of RAM.
Storage is handled via SD or Micro SD cards, of which two are included (4GB each).

Apple Store Grand Central Almost Ready to Go?
Seems that the Apple Store, Grand Central is in its final phases before it opens. Huge scaffolds have been erected and the plain construction barrier is now shrouded to hide reconstruction the previously speculated video wall. This is an important retail launch for Apple, considering that this is going to be their largest retail store in the world – square footage wise.
I’m guessing very soon we will hear some sort of official word from Apple regarding the stores official opening date.

iCloud Can Automatically Sync Macs Files
This has to be one of the coolest hacks I heard this month.
What is of use is that any files put into the ~/Library/Mobile Documents folder will automatically upload to iCloud and push to any other Mac you have that is signed in to the same iCloud account and has the ‘Document & Data’ iCloud preference checked. Lion even notifies you of version conflicts and allows you to resolve them when you open the document.
Neat!

Here is My Problem With Android
Ok, so here is my beef with Android. When a person who buys a cellphone walks into a carrier and asks for an Android phone – there is no uniform expectation. Little do they know that every manufacturer has a different skin making the whole experience different, and even more so do they know there are diffferent versions of the OS and its VERY likely you will NEVER see an upgrade.
It’s an OS with great potential but the carriers and device manufacturers is Android worst enemy!
At least with iOS, Windows Phone 7, and WebOS (RIP) there is a uniform experience between models creation less confusion for the user.
